Stussy X BNTL..

P1230571

The only real evidence from a crazy couple of days for your favourite blogging gang.

So on Wednesday of last week the possibility to model for a 'well known streetwear brand' emerged.. details were thin on the ground, but the prospect alone merited excitement... Later that same day, news spread the brand we'd be exhibiting was Stussy, and we'd be posing for the look-book for the new Spring/Summer collection!! Witts called me to relay the original good news, and I subsequently hit the text lines to query the availability of a few suitable people..

After a couple of days of nervous checking of email inbox's the call sheet emerged, stating that Jack, Shan & Agostinho would model on monday, and me, Witts and an unknown Joe entity would do it on the tuesday.. Kind of a set-back we weren't all together, but fuck it..

Obviously I can't speak on the goings-on of monday, due to my bodily absence from proceedings... So fast-tracking to today.. everything started terribly, I got NO sleep, and lost my train ticket! To back-track in a minamilastic sense, I was in Norwich.. I leave my house at 6:50 am, arrive into Stowmarket (don't watch that) at about 8:12 and am told trains are double price until after 9...So I wait until then and pay my money and am on my merry/half-conscious way. On arrival at Liverpool Street, McDonalds gets reached and I take note of the heavy heaven opening, and decide the Underground is the wiser form of carriage. Get to Old street exit 7 stupidly early, as is customary of me. And wait under-cover for the troops to assemble.. 30 minutes of thumb-twiddling and people-watching later and Neil and Stephen grace me with their presence.. stereotypical Englishman conversation points pop up and are dealt with accordingly - the weather being a popular point of condemnation.. Witts and Joe make special guest appearances ten minutes later, and after stand-offish dapping we make for the Gimmie5 HQ.. Post-entrance to said head-quarters and we're visually treated to some unseen Visvim goodness.. strictly a no-picture policy!

We crack open a box of t-shirts the size of a Wendy House and the head-shots commence.. and don't desist for a solid couple of hours, and after a break for Subway, Argos (wherein we deemed the whole process futile and ridiculous - 30+ minutes it took to purchase a memory card) & Somerfield (wherein Lionel Richie moved us along, for loitering) we do a bunch of trousers and shorts.. and many more bits and pieces besides... The look-book is due to be ready in February so hopefully around that time we can plague the blog with pictures of your favourite members.. as well as our complimentary garments!! Andrew Bunney (Honeyee) dropped in mid-way through proceedings to drop some chicken-egg sized pearls of wisdom, and also to tell of previous superstars he'd photographed in the gimmie5 HQ, in which we were standing.. the roll call included Kanye West & Pharrell.. so listening to his tales was definitely an added bonus to an already un-believable day. My personal favourite look of the day was a check short-sleeved button-up, with a green coach jacket sort of thing and a navy snap back cap with a white bill and a solitary 'S' emblazoned on the front.. Thankfully witts & Joe did all the short work, hold tight Stussy toe thongs. We saw some shots from the previous day, as well as a book of all the garments we'd be trying on, before we started... literally cannot wait for the JPEGS to hit the myspaces! Especially Jacks Pork-Pie steez.

Afterwards, me and Witts reflected on a somewhat surreal day with a staple diet of Kronnenbourgs..

Big-ups, in no particular order;

Stephen Mann - stylism guru.
Neil Bedford - www.neilbedford.com The website speaks for itself..
Witts, Shan, Jack, Agostinho & Joe aka Quiet Joe - we smashed the world, we smashed the world..

I'd like to give an extra-special shout-out to the Meatball Marinara, holding me down for the last 2 years straight, no other sandwich can compare..

Anybody I forgot, you're simply not worthy.
