What a disgraceful mess..

..A fairly adequate assessment of last night at Marketplace, which once again played host to a night of drunken ruckus in the form of Livin' Proof. The plan was for everyone to meet at 9pm at Nike Town, but only Jordan was in attendance.. so we headed McDonalds-ward, where the guy in there consistently triiiiiiiiied it with his stingey chip portions, no bars were had.

We got into Marketplace about 9:30 and waited for the insurgence of bodies..Viv rolled up shortly after, subsequent to a massive lampoon about how he was, in fact.. not coming.. For the next 45 minutes we marveled at the growth of the female to male ratio, (the good way, not the sausage fest way) and re-called countless hiphop themed nights when it'd had been a stark opposite. I forgot to mention how I only partially took the piss to Shane, who earlier that day had vowed Spurs would 'have up' Chelsea. After the time for sitting down had passed, a collection of terrible pictures were taken, a mixture of complete blackness, or complete whiteness - so that was a shame.. What was not a shame, was the ridiculous ammount of heavy tracks that were on offer, much the same as my previous Livin' Proof experience - with a little extra. The customary hype tracks played their part and by the time news filtered through from Craig that a Dilla track, which turned out to be McNasty Filth, was upcoming the night was almost over! Which makes me stress to the night organisers - bigger venue, later closing!! It's the only night that plays this selection, and you could easily fill a venue 5 times the size of Marketplace, especially considering all the people who were queing upstairs throughout the night, (hold tight them!) and frankly, 1am isn't enough!! With that said, a big thankyou to the aforementioned organisers is merited - definitely the best semi-regular London night for me..

That turned into a bit of a rant, probably best to crack on with the pictorals, those which were salvaged from the lightness/darkness..

Viv liked this because we can't see his "ugly mug, but the treble clef is CLEAR"!

P1230718
Kesi ARRIVED drunk, and kept the levels dangerously high throughout the night..

P1230735
Ollie wasn't feeling Jordan's paparazzi instincts..

Apply the previous caption to this picture, please.

Kind of looks like Asantewa threw-up her tongue.. also check the claw!

Blappers and big beer bottles, Hip-hop 101.

Table-dancing, always an amazingly big mistake.. a fact not yet discovered by Jordan & Kesi.

And that's pretty much that in terms of decent in-venue pictures!

We left at whatever time they turned the lights on.. and walked up to Tottenham Court Road apparently to get food, it didn't work out as such for me, but the journey was made entertaining by bait on road pisses. gentlemen with no discretion. Anyway, we reached McDonalds for a second visit, wherein a security guard was escorting a group of people off the premises for (get this) eating their food inside!!

Viv & Tigga, they'll break your legs for a chicken nugget. Briefly after this picture the two subjects left the building in search of an N29.

Me and the remaining masses, greatly depleted though we were walked (for some reason) all the way to Trafalgar Square.. stopping on our way to buy Cigarettes from the most discreet tabbaconist... called 'Cigarettes'.. in which I took a picture, a motion that caused the store owner to scream "No pictures!!", a catch-phrase that lends itself to a dodgy undertone.. I took my bloody not ramping picture and told the guy it would be on the blog, he didn't understand me at all and just said "Exactly!".. was a brave moment for me. After this I acquired a greasy slice of Italy and we completed our misguided journey to Trafalgar Square, where Alex & Mike were to get the N18 (missions back to Harrow!!!!!) and I was looking for an N9, but jumped on the N97 instead, and thus concluding the nights antics.

I did promise... (Alex)

Some wanker (or wankers (plural)) has totally defaced the West End with these stickers!

In closing - big up all the people I told to get there EARLY who arrived at bloody 11 o'clock.. Alex, Mike & Paige, you apparently don't know the time.

Extra-extended big up to the extended family, which keeps getting extended without limitation. Was a swell evening, I patiently await the next one!
