What Dubstep & Naked Lunch

Stef, Greg and myself met up at New St. and headed to the Jewellery Quater, on arrival Concrete wasn't that busy, a slightly better turn out than the first time the "What?" boys put a night on though.

Emalkay was on at 12, so we chilled and waited for Birmingham resident to arrive. Stepping up to the decks he came with some large dubs, started off a little mellow then came with some bangers drawing for quite a few Caspa and Rusko tunes, a lot of his own material as well and finally toning it down again with a few minimal tunes to end the set. Had a little skank throughout, most enjoyed!

Next up were Miller G and Nipsy, the What? resident came with the energetic jump up riddims had the crowd bouncing, again a brief skank, before we left.

Jumped in a taxi and went straight to Naked Lunch not knowing what to expect but with the promise of drum n bass outside in the ice cream van I had something to look forward to. Greeted by Lucy on the door, all be in accidentally she led me straight to the ice cream van to show me the drum n bass, her excessive drinking made her more than eager to dance but the less I say about that the better...

Anyway, big up DJ Disgrace (Happy Birthday) dropping some big tunes and the two boys who have played the last few Naked Lunch's, unsure of the names but their mixing is always tight and usually have a few fresh tunes. Had a little skank amongst taking the pix, Big up Naked Lunch.

Inside the warehouse was a different story, a mix of electro, bassline and whatever. An energetic crowd mostly students dancing away drunkenly... nothing for me in there though

Everytime you go out you get better...

I'm proud of you. No belittling undertones either.
